With people moving to Parler, it'd be nice to see what is going on, but I don't want to give out a phone number.
I see I can access an account by URL, but cannot see a search or anything.

From everything I've read, no. I tried a while back to use a IP based number even (Google, nonetheless) and it wouldn't even work. They are really stuck on getting a mobile number.
For now I've settled that I'm not going to try to replace social media that irritated with other social media that will irritate me. I do wish they'd give an option for an e-mail address instead.
You can easily create one with a fake temp mobile number. Maybe it's different through the mobile app, but on PC, it didn't even send me an SMS verification.
