So I keep seeing people compare this to the Reichstag Fire, as a means of Trump attaining Hitlerian power.
But the result is completely opposite.
Democrat officials are calling for the expulsion of several, if not every, Republican representative. Anyone who objected to the vote ratification is looking down the barrel of whatever process the Democrats invent to 'hold them accountable'.
Everyone is calling for everyone involved to be hunted down by the FBI and jailed or killed, including people who have been wanting the police defunded this whole time.
I don't think this was a false flag, Trump Supporters definitely entered the building. But it very well may have been a trap, and if not a deliberate one, then one on which they've capitalized. I'm not going to argue taking the high road for the optics, because the events of this week haven't introduced any new characterizations to the narrative, they were already saying all these things.
If this was Reichstag, it wasn't for Trump.
Wait... people are saying it was a Reichstag Fire for Trump?
Jesus, I was so focused on the obvious calls for retaliation and consolidation of power from the establishment goons after the fact, that I didn’t even entertain that anyone would blatantly think this was done as a last-ditch effort by Trump.
I know the programming runs deep, but man, the mental gymnastics...
Some cunning and devious spiders realized that a large swath of humanity is gullible and/or stupid enough to not be capable of grasping the lessons Hilter & the 3rd reich should have taught them. It wasn't "nazis bad" & "jews are special", it was "question your leadership" & "scapegoating is always nefarious".
Maybe the real reason history repeats itself is because there is always a high proportion of the human population that require others to tell them what their morality and stance should be for any given situation.
For that exact same reason, I think that the people who today cheer violence against "Nazis" would be, had they lived during that time, cheering on Kristallnacht.
Everyone imagines themselves as the hero; however, heroic figures are only idolized because of their incredible rarity. We can't all be right when bragging about saving the day.
When taking the time to self-reflect, I only see how pathetic I am for not having the courage to step forward and risk becoming a martyr. Not being a braggart isn't enough.
