However, I can't help but think that if the CIA really was raided and had a man killed by the military, they would be very loud about it.

Unless even admitting the thing exists would expose the CIA to significant scrutiny for hosting operations that could conceivably constitute treason against the country they're nominally charged with acting in the defence of?
