I particularly like the way that it's often used to argue that communism, being unable to compete with functional systems of government, in fact requires global communism so that, all peoples being genuinely oppressed under this horrific system of governance, communism can't be left in the dust by actually productive societies.
They are technically correct; communism cannot succeed anywhere unless it is enforced everywhere. If even one free nation exists, it will serve as a beacon to undermine and eventually destroy any communist regime.
Even if you somehow achieved end-stage communism where there are no hierarchies, no property, etc. all that would be required to topple the system would be a few people willing to shed some blood and take over.
