They didn't "want him to do" anything. They already know that there's not really anything that anyone can do to make any difference here. The virus/pandemic is going to run its course, and it's going to go away. It's what always happens. What they did want to do was to use this crisis as a way to win the election. They whipped the country into a panic, pushed for lockdowns that destroyed Trump's one crown jewel - the good economy - and then dragged those lockdowns out for so long that it left everyone absolutely miserable. Miserable people are willing to vote for "change". They got exactly what they wanted, exactly when they needed it. The media is the despicable.
