Fun fact, the hairless elephants and rhinos evolved from the hairy ones. In other words, they evolved alongside human beings who were themselves spreading up towards the north as the "pachyderms" were spreading south. Something about the hairy forms didn't allow them to bear the pressure of the new, SPEAR-WIELDING predator in its midst, especially once they were accompanied by packs of DOGS (which are always, always always glossed over when people argue about cLiMaTe ChAnGe killing species that had survived previous glacial interstitials). Probably had a longer gestation period, and recent DNA studies show that near the end, their genes had been bottlenecked badly so there would have been no coming back from genetic collapse anyway (humans likely targeted the calves, and decimated the populations by attrition that way. Climate change and genetic collapse took over from there.)

The elephants and hippoes are basically just the last of the megafauna that were tough enough to face a spear-using pack animal, but the introduction of guns has really fucked things up, not to mention the, yes, population boom of the past 5-7 human generations.

And frankly, all races are the enemies of wildlife any more. Africans may hate and resent their white-founded nature preserves, but who is it always in the news killing the trophy lions and then bragging up about it bringing money to the niggers? Shithead white trash. Not to mention the sad state of the natural history of North America (helped by the redskins, but hey, whites brought the guns and steel traps.) And now the skies are fucking empty, except for piece of shit airplanes, spreading shit and one big fat ugly invasive species everywhere.
