The update breaking things in typical Bethesda fashion is why modders should break off and create their own IPs and groups instead of being reliant on shitty often broken and out of date software from older studios. If even a few modders give it a try I think they'll be pleasantly surprised at how much fun it can be if they enjoy doing that sort of thing.

I've seen some pretty interesting titles lately from Godot developers that do FPS' etc. and they're very reminiscent of early source engine style shooters and RPGs back in the day. You really don't need fancy graphics to have fun with it. These big studios are so bad now you could probably get away with shamelessly ripping them off to make your own canon and no one would care.
