I'd have to disagree because of the troon rates in the west compared to Asia where it was made.

I believe this is because Japan had a way to actually culturally compartmentalize, differentiate, and assimilate the feminine male - the otokonoko; the male maiden, etc. In western culture the rules are not well written, so when we receive and digest this, it very quickly becomes a precarious situation with our programming. We have no real cultural defenses against it and the scaffolds of the male ideal are falling apart. We synthesize it very differently, though let's not pretend that there isn't a lot of crossdressing and trooning out in Japan aswell; but again, it's different.

We've had DECADES of trap/feminine boys from anime, why is it only NOW there's this pipeline when we can literally look at Western education, politics, medicine and media to see the real push without outside assistance.

Because there is an external agenda (manifest in western education, politics, medicine and media) that has been snowballing over the past two decades. Perhaps the "Anime-to-troon" pipeline should take on a broader designation to describe this synthesis. I don't think that it is any way a coincidence that they are also very marxist.
