I hate the revisionism of everything most of all, as if middle earth didn't have racial strife between elves and dwarves with them constantly at each other's throats as part of the damn lore. Inserting wishy washy multi-racial feel good woke bollocks is fucking awful and an insult to every fantasy IP ever.

The joke is depending on the racial strife it sometimes even plays into the woke narrative around race like with the Witcher game lore frequently pointing out the human persecution of elves and treating them as sex slaves etc. or burning non-humans at the stake because they're convinced they're magic users and freaks causing problems.

At least CD Projekt Red came up with convincing lore for that sort of thing but that's way too mature for modern woke audiences and they'll inevitably get offended by it. So you've got to have silly bullshit from RL shoehorned in so they can clap along and go "yeah those are the bad guys durr!". It's fucking low IQ pandering at it's finest and it's one of the big reasons mainstream comedy writing is so shit but this has spread to all manner of mediums now too as everyone here knows.
