They maintain lists of users and auto-ban them from certain subreddits or they auto-ban people who even post and browse certain subreddit they have a problem with. The meta of reddit is so much worse than a lot of people realise. I have no fucking sympathy for people who insist on using reddit the same way I have no sympathy for users or creators of any big tech site. If they whine these days I'm just going to tell them to fuck off, they're part of the problem because they give traffic to these sites.

I actually deleted my reddit account which had managed to get thousands of karma points ( I was an edgy boi who made MRA sympathetic posts and pissed off feminists regularly ) because I wanted to scrub my big tech presence completely. Probably because I was quite a highly upvoted account I still got an occasional weird user trying to comment on my posts which would go into my notifications.

Later on towards the end of my reddit usage I would also get extremely creepy attempts by psychopaths trying to start shit with me in private chat which is why on social media I never respond to that shit anymore. 99% of the time for some reason on social media the only time you get a PM is if it's somebody looking to start something.
