The west has been indoctrinated to hate themselves for generations at this point. If you ask a leftist they would prefer that their ancestors were inventors and conquerors or actually black people who invented everything and their ancestors are all evil they prefer the latter. Basically self-flagellating in the name of their new religion.

Edit: My poorly made point is that we're ahead other people in terms of indoctrination but it will come to them in time. We are already seeing erosion in Japan and eastern Europe. Next it will be muslim countries.
