Ohohohhooo don't get me started on that, having recently renovated a house I was very particular about quality and making sure things were solid and durable just on the basis of I don't want to have to replace them for at least 5+ years.

Hell when I went to buy the appliances I explained to the sales guy who was very understanding lol I did not want anything stupid that connected to bluetooth or the internet I just wanted a cooker and a fridge and that's it. Ironically when you get something like a fridge in it's basic form it's infinitely cheaper than all the other fridges with extra crap attached to it.

Sometimes I do find gimmicky tech stuff somewhat amusing but I remember seeing fridges that had these flashy touchscreens and coffee makers in them and it was ridiculous.
