The real reason the actual KTW armor piercing bullets were coated with Teflon is because the bullets were annealed brass, and firing them in a regular pistol barrel without some kind of anti-friction coating would fuck up the barrel. The Teflon coating is gliding material, and does nothing to aid penetration at all.
