I was hoping the GA case would be appealed. I think it will be pretty easy for them to find one sympathetic (and retarded) jury in Fulton. Legal types, on the other hand, have been uniformly skeptical of the charges. On the TDS end of it, they frame it as "DJT gonna get away with it again because the prosecutor is just that stunning and brave".

Meaning I think judges will see it in their long term interest to have this particular case handled very cautiously. For one thing, it sets a precedent that "their bosses*" can face charges kind of out of the blue, which makes them uncomfortable. The actions occurring at the time were presumed legal, by everyone, remember. Nobody decided it was a crime until years later. That makes politicians uncomfortable, and they realize Republicans aren't going away tomorrow in Georgia. So there will likely be reprisal, and it seems like the best thing for all the politicians is to have these prosecutions not happen.

*Judges and lawyers are the same group of people. Their whole life they get paid to do "law stuff," and much of that time they spend in the private sector. They probably grant favors as a judge and then cash them in as a lawyer. It's a racket and naturally they work for rich businesspeople the most. So that's pretty much who owns em.
