Everyone's pretty much made points I already agree with but something I've found fascinating is how much I realise I do in fact care about character design and art styles. Not necessarily 'muh gud graphics' but styling definitely matters in a game and it's not just the fact that cringe millennial SJW employees are inserting themselves into all forms of media and looking incredibly out of place. It's not just the attractive women that bothers me about modern titles.

Even when it comes to hairstyles I find it all ridiculous, every time you see a black person for example they always have to have an afro or dreadlocks. Doesn't matter the setting or how retarded it looks they will always put them in. With women part of the uglification tactic is they even have them look like the modern SJW with noserings or whatever or maybe they'll throw in some tattoos. Medieval fantasy clearly modelled after Europe? Doesn't matter, military setting? Don't care, gief dreadlocks and disregard grooming standards. Oh yeah and it doesn't matter how silly it looks, we're going to have a pint sized female who doesn't even have a convincing physique lifting around big rocket launchers or machine guns with recoil that would probably send her flying backwards.

My favourite example of this will always be Wolfenstein and the heavily pregnant lady magically being able to vault over obstacles and fire a gun like it was nothing which told me that the devs who put that in either didn't care or had never seen a pregnant woman and how they move before.
