This is exactly why you should be wary of youtubers these days who give out reviews for games and it's sad it's come to this. I remember how many of them were praising Battlefield 2042 when it came out and trying to gloss over the shit that was going on with that game. I think though it became so bad the shills quietly resigned from even posting up gameplay and streaming it.

Again, this goes back to my complaints about the way people were critiquing Baldur's Gate 3. Yes it is woke as fuck, there's no denying it now, but what most people were doing was on either side basing their opinions of a bunch of fucking memes that sprang out from their marketing material.

No one was posting about all the problems with the game which even the fanbois and article writers are admitting is a major issue now which tells you a lot about how the games industry these works. I barely trust steam reviews now especially with recent releases because they're clearly being exploited. Starfield is going to be exactly the same, some cringe gay scene will pop up and that's all anyone will talk about for the entire month allowing Microsoft and Bethesda to carefully dodge having address any inevitable game breaking stuff they release their product with.

I'm going to come across elitist as fuck now but I honestly don't care, I think this is all part of a scam to replace true gamers who actually give a fuck about the state of games and critique the gameplay with fucking cringey political commentators and influencers and brainless normies who don't know any better encouraging them to buy their shitty broken products. Commentators and influencers get incentives to ramble on about how great a new release is, normies who watch them will go out and buy it thinking it looks fun. No effort required on part of the big studios to make anything good especially when combined with ESG money in the background.

Oddly enough, I'm not even mad because I've been posting these warnings months ago for those of you who remember. I do feel as though steam can't be trusted by default anymore because Valve refuse to clean up their act and are happy just sitting pretty doing absolutely nothing while these big studios run rampant and do whatever they want and indie devs have to struggle.
