It's probably going to have to be some kind of mass produced lightweight version of Boston Dynamics' robots or at least the sort of principal they use. They'll need to scan the house first to be able to 'see it' in the software, then the program switches on and they go about doing their thing.

Now would I trust such an android? Fucking no, especially when you take into account every soyface in the west is going to want one and as tempting as it would be to get a milf android I know for a fact they're going to be spying with those things the second they get the chance and it will work brilliantly. The government has already gotten dipshits to go and buy recording devices en masse no problem so an android that has all kinds of scanning gizmos on it is going to be an easy sell.

Watch Ghost in the shell, it's actually pretty realistic I feel in terms of what could and couldn't be done and yes I know it's an anime but I'm thinking from the programmer perspective.
