Putin isn't trying to win over jews by being anti-nazi. Putin is actually trying to win over western sentiment while also purposely deflecting from Russia's part in the rise of Bolshevism/Communism/Jewish Supremacy.

You know the MAGA types that call anything authoritarian: "Nazis" and these MAGA types feel "liberty" is the ultimate goal whereas "Nazis" are always what they refer to as the antithesis of this, even calling Antifas the label "Nazi" without any knowledge of the differences between Communism or National Socialism? At best they say Nazis and Commies are the exact same thing but just had a power struggle? That's not just MAGAs, there's a lot of Europeans who are equally as retarded. Putin is trying to win over sentiment from these types.

Second of all, the USSR was 10x worse than the Nazis in everything the Nazis were accused of from genocide, oppression, to whatever. The USSR was worse and the USSR factually did all these evil things, whereas the Nazis arguably weren't evil at all and much of what they've been accused of is false. Putin doesn't want people realizing this truth because it makes Russia out to be the biggest bad guys around, rather than Germany (a country that Russia is currently opposed with). Part of Russian Nationalism is Russia feeling a sense of superiority over the Nazis. Putin has absolutely nothing to gain trying to change this narrative so he's just going to play into it more.

Lastly, Putin hates popular nationalism because what benefits the people often is in direct competition with what benefits the elites. Putin only likes his flavor of Nationalism which is very similar to Western Globalism except with Russia having a seat at the head table. Putin is constantly opposed to nationalists within Russia that care about the Russian people because these people's interests are opposed to Putin's interests which does not coincide with the best interests of the Russian people.
