Guarantee you if it's a $50 it's fake as fuck and most likely dangerous to use in any capacity, the real samurai swords that are properly forged will cost you $300+ easy. How do I know this? Did my research into it, I don't care what that amazon page and the producer claims, it's fake.

These cheap knock offs always use flimsy steel if they even bother to use steel, they don't have solid cores into their handles and they even go so far as to fake the 'tempered' look on the blade itself. The black marks are often painted on somehow or faked as well to make it look like it's been through a process when it hasn't. In case you couldn't tell I get really autistic when it comes to metal craftmanship and the cheap shit pisses me off because even by cheap and disposable standards it's often awful and will potentially injure you or just break.

This kind of thing might look like a bargain at first but often there are so many problems with them if you're dumb enough to buy it. More autism as well, the Japanese samurai swords are made from a very specific type of iron refining method that the shitty knock offs won't do.
