'niceness and politeness' is just cultural collectivism on steroids and it means anybody who has even a slightly differing opinion on a topic is actively shunned by society. See the Japanese as a great example of this, AbroadInJapan red pilled me quite a bit and slapped the weaboo out when it came to being properly honest about the culture there. Holiday there? Certainly, live there? Doubt. Tons of problems when it comes to work environment and mental health in that country too.

I would not be shocked if the Canadians were similar, ironically, this kind of attitude is a classic way society ends up breaking down, because people aren't honest with each other, deep seated issues are never addressed and the people who keep getting shunned in society are going to understandably feel like they have no connection with the society that shunned them anymore.

The British were exactly like this too and it was such a 'shock' to all the leftists when the leave vote won because they were all the excessively polite scum who were attacking and shunning anybody who talked about the issues that were important to them when it came to Brexit generally.
