There isn't a better potential candidate for Assisted Communication scam on a political level.

"Assisted communication" is a pseudoscience according to which an "assistant" can help a terminally-retarded person "communicate" by holding their hand to help them point pictures or, even more ridiculous, words.

In reality all the "communication" is whatever the assistant decides to point.

There are "assistants" who discovered "totally misunderstood geniuses stuck in a paralized body". Claiming their patient could read without ever learning to.

Or "assistants" who raped their retarded patients claiming putting the victim's finger on a "yes" icon means consent was given. Even if the patient fucking crawled away from the rapist at first the "Assistant" would look at you and bullshit some more about how intelligent and able to consent and in love their victim was.

The proof? The assistant taking the hand of the retard to point agreement to the assistant's claims. Trololol.

Anyway, the "assistant" uses the patient as a puppet.

Well Brain Damage Governor is close to that with his wife "Assisting" him.

Busting the Assisted Communication scam was easy. Just ask the retard to anwer question with information provided to him when the Assistant wasen't there and watch the scammer sweat bullets unable to use his puppet.

It's baffling that scam went on for so long when it was so easy to verrify the claims were false.

Edit : The correct terms are Assisted Typing and Facilitated Communication.

Since then, scammers rebranded the same pseudoscientific principle as "Rapid Prompting Method" and "Spelling to Communicate ( S2P )". Neither of those new versions of the "technique" works when asking the retard a question the "Assistant" dosen't know they answer to. Because it's a fraud.
