They feel that they are principled, noble people, but they're objectively not. For example, wanting diversity and inclusion is a principle (even though it should be way below merit), but they demand all-minority groups and create no-white spaces -- the opposite of what they believe their principle is. So they're not principled people.

Cancelling things for actual principled reasons is not a problem at all. Like for instance you don't expose kids to tranny story time or faces of death because they're actually harmful to their mental state.
