These predatory contracts use intentionally complicated legalese to screw over people who don't know better

This is what gets me... Crowder doing this is like a major musician with his own label calling out the record companies for the insanely shitty, awful contracts they have that they use to steal the lives of starry-eyed young kids who are told they're going to be the next big 'thing'. They then labor beneath their contract and make zero money off of their music.

But because it's Daily Wire, their stupid fans are going 'muh private business negotiations' and 'why not just walk away and say nothing'.

Crowder's entire first video was wholly about telling new talent and young people to not sign predatory contracts locking them into being nothing but ad robots and parroting Zuckerberg's political agendas. That was it.

The stupidest fucking thing is that all the DW fans are going "boo he shouldn't have recorded his friend".

He did it because he knew that the shekel-pinching fucks at DW were going to try to flip the script and make him sound like a greedy primadonna. He recorded Boering because Boering did exactly that with his hour-long video, revealing lurid details about how much Crowder 'thinks' he's worth and making it all about money.

They then had their least-popular personality on Timcast to scream for 30 minutes in a coke-fueled hysteria about nothing but money.

The Daily Wire has so far never, not once, fucking talked about a single thing Crowder was upset about. Matt Walsh on Twitter is cumming in his own face about how they "totally changed the culture with the greatest documentary ever made", when literally nobody has seen What is a Woman who wasn't already on his side. Not a single fucking person in the centrist space even heard of it, much less were going to cross the paywall for it.

The response I often hear is that "well Crowder could've counter offered". Bullcrap.

Yeah, you cannot and do not counter-offer from an insane lowball. Crowder probably estimates that he needs about $22.5M/year to operate. Daily Wire's opening offer was barely half that. That means in order to even begin to try to 'meet in the middle', Crowder is forced to counter-offer something absurd like $35M a year. And having to negotiate up two hundred and fifty fucking percent from the opening offer is utterly insane. You don't go to a job interview expecting to make $110K/year, and then when they say "we'll pay you $30K" you think you can realistically counter with "how about $250K?". When they offer you $30K you pack your shit and walk. It means they think you're fucking worthless.
