(it looks like I missed some details from the movie, check out KevO's response for the correction and Casino trivia!)

There's a scene in Casino, Sam "Ace" Rothstein let's go of a employee that's got an uncle on the gaming board. Eventually that uncle visits Ace and asks for his nephew to have his job back.

Ace decides to punch above his weight and denies the request, telling the Uncle, in a way, that his nephew is retarded or corrupt.

As a result, Ace loses his Gaming License in Vegas and his whole "plan" is put into jeopardy. So what does he do? Start his own cheap shit talk show that constantly complains about the "corrupt" Vegas gaming commission and how he's a victim of corruption this, corruption that. His efforts backfire, and while Ace avoids a dirt nap in Nebraska, he's excommunicado from Vegas and the mob bosses (and most important, the money).

The reason I mention this is that it looks like Trump is going the same way as Ace.

A victim of actual corruption turned into their own worst enemy while everyone else slowly, but inevitably, stops caring.
