It's this. Whenever I'm on reddit, and I see some random trans post on a totally unrelated sub, there are magically 20+ people in there, all complimenting them on making the post, and downvoting the people asking, "That's nice, but how is this relevant to... scale modeling?"
They absolutely band together, and brigade the places someone makes a post/tweet at.
