I have wondered why that's not already a big problem. I'm not even that good at AI/ML stuff, but I'm in an adjacent data science field and could already do very passable fakes, setting up scenarios that look like actual hidden/surveillance cams. Maybe not good enough to pass expert scrutiny in a courtroom, but good enough to have already gone viral before it ever gets to that point.

Actually since we know most politicians really are disgusting monsters, I'm more worried that deepfakes will be used to discredit any video evidence in the future - i.e. Hunter and Uncle pedo. Don't believe your lying eyes, everything's fake.
