There's so much to unpack on the culture war surrounding global warming that it is almost easier to just say, "yeah Bill Gates and the WEF are doing all this, damn evil elites". The truth is more that we are a largely ignorant entertainment based society, and the depressing oversights we always commit to.

Yes, the "Aristocrats" of the (western) world has bought into global warming, and also have the ESG financial incentives to continually try to push everyone else to believe them. So now pretty much everything from entertainment to infotainment supports the "message". It helps that the owners of all this media are true believers as well, it keeps much of the global warming media hype on brand and allows the ignorance regarding climate change to spread.

For example, in the area that I live in, there has been an increased push to expand the local forests for the past 80+ years. And it's been very successful! The forests, which were once cut down for fuel, buildings materials, and cleared land for farming, have recovered and we are now known for our open trails and nature walks. Success! Right?

Well, where people are perfectly willing to let the forest reclaim the land it once was on, turns out no one is willing to maintain the forest. Over time trees would die and would be left there to rot. New trees would grow and die and over time the dead wood piled up. A dry week and one lit cigarette later and over 900 acres was on fire.

I imagine you can see the headlines without actually seeing the headlines. Global warming was to blame. A massive fire unseen before by modern man, massive damage, the folly of man destroying the world in order to make a buck.

No one was willing to maintain a forest. People were happy to just let it be and assume nature takes care of itself. Dead trees don't make excellent fire starter (They do). Or the fact that certain trees actually need a fire in order to propagate, and large parts of the forest that burned contained just those trees. Can't be, the easy answer was and still is global warming.

So there's this ever present ignorance that's infected just about everything when it comes close to this subject, and it doesn't matter at what level you are at in society, you'll hear it parroted to you, because it's easy to parrot. Because it's ignorance.

Why do we need to maintain a forest?, nature maintains itself! (Dumb)

Why not build battery banks in the forest, the forest will protect it! (Dumb)

The battery banks burst into fire, catching the forest on fire, causing a record in damages unseen before by man? Must be global warming! (Dumb)
