And i thought it was Jews cause there's the ethnic religious part, there's the semitic appearance , there's the name itself that sounds a bit like "israel" and FMA is very clearly based on Germany and the author herself interviewed ww2 veterans for accuracy. And yes they do have their own and there are actually some manga that have stuff on that which were early anti war manga.
