At least here the media is not playing word games to insinuate the local Syncytial Respiratory Virus epidemic among kids filling pediatric beds is WuFlu, because they sure did when it happened in Texas.
This bunch of kids all ending up hospitalized at once is caused by the lockdowns preventing gradual natural immunity among kids for a year and a half.
"Oddly enough" ( covid hysteria ), we aren't shutting down schools for this virus, but the government keeps shutting down the school when kids get a common cold if they test positive for SARS-CoV-2019.
How long will they keep pretending it is rational to shut down school for a new strain of endemic common cold? Several countries stopped doing that, or just didn't do it to any significant extent through all of this.
