In my distillation so far, it seems that religious objections are the most effective so far as ~federal employees are protected by constitutional guarantees of religious freedom of practice and faith to follow their conscience.. The SCOTUS, including the much maligned Amy Comey Barrett, has upheld this repeatedly over the last year of rulings.
Constitutionally protected freedom of religion and religious beliefs have become the last bastion of free peoples.
