What I've learned in 4 years is that leftists are more then happy to give their rights away like freedom of speech, have their taxes increased, be discriminated against do to the color of their skin as long as they are virtuous.

There is a combination of people on the left:

1. brainwashed young people that think they are on the right side of history
2. minorities who benefit directly
3. depressed, self-loathing individuals that found someone to blame for everything and probably for the first time have a feeling of support and power

The only group you have any chance to change is group 1 as they are the only group that genuinely think they are doing good. Brainwashing can be reverted if the individuals have critical thinking, this is why education focuses more on propaganda then teaching.
