I remember my history teacher in high school was talking about the college sports draft one time and he said it was the modern day equivalent of a slave auction. I told him that was retarded, as slaves generally weren’t given huge scholarships and couldn’t quit whenever they wanted, and he just told me that I was spoiled by my “life without significant struggle” or something to that effect.
