If a man is struggling to acquire a woman, oftentimes you'll hear everyone in society suggest that the man needs to reevaluate his expectations and/or bring more to the table given his expectations. The idea is that if you're a man and you want a woman, you should change yourself to becomes more valuable in the eyes of women. If a man does this then it's women not men who set the standard for how men should behave. Men do in fact do this because men have such low Sexual Market Value that they feel this is their only chance to acquire a woman.

On the other hand women are rarely told by society to readjust their expectations or to bring more to the table. Women and society at large often simply blame men for not changing to be what women want as the reason for why women are struggling to acquire a man. You don't see people suggest women should change because women's SMV is so high that they aren't the ones expected to change since they have all the leverage in society. It's like imagine some small tech company was trying to contract a deal with Microsoft to use Microsoft's services in exchange for Microsoft to use some of this small company's services. MS told the small company they needed to change some things about their business because MS could engage in the contract. People people wouldn't bat an eye at this request. Now imagine if the small company told MS that it needed to significantly change its whole business operations around before the small company would sign the contract. Most people would likely balk at such a request and think the small company was way out of line. Women are the Microsoft in society given their SMV and men are the small company.

The overall net impact of this imbalance in SMV between men and women is the fact that men's behaviors are changing to become what the women dictate they should be. Women like docile/simpy men because the men are not a threat to the woman and the women gets the man's resources without having to do anything in return for them. Of course, it's worth noting that oftentimes women do in fact have sexual relationships with men who are anything but docile/simpy because women find these men attractive but women still want these men to be docile/simpy; however, women often find when these men become what they think they want the men to be then the men are no longer attractive to the women anymore but that doesn't stop the women from encouraging the men to be docile/simpy anyway. In some regards this encouragement by women is a natural "shit-test" women seem to be predisposed toward creating for men. Women find strong dominant men attractive so the women tell the men to be weak and submissive therefore, only truly strong and dominant men pass the test by not actually being weak and submissive. If women told men to be strong and dominant then a bunch of weak and submissive men would pretend to be strong and dominant which wouldn't work for women because then they wouldn't truly find the real strong and dominant men in society.
