I do find that fucking funny with the whole 'Latino' thing, looking into South America and realising what the leftist rhetoric is like around it shows they're being extremely American when it comes to their geographical knowledge.

Although yes there is definitely political and economic instability there there are also countries that chug along with zero drama but they don't get in the news because that's not interesting. There are quite a few places like that out there and a lot of people in the west don't know anything about them. I'm sure ex-pats who have already been there and done that know exactly what I'm talking about. What's really telling is the migrants that are a product of mass migration in the west all come from very specific regions.
