Sometimes it's not necessarily being bumped up by special interests, sometime it's just people being insufferable click-bait artists. Even by my own standards I freely admit I think I underestimated just how bad it was going to be because they're even going after small communities like this one with their bullshit and no offence to people here I just wouldn't have considered sites like communities.win worth it.

By the way, Valve did this with steam for awhile and I know youtube did it a bit where they were trying to promote 'black creators' with astroturfing. That was definitely a thing, so it could well be maybe they're trying to do women this time around.
