In real life the pedo accusation even without evidence is so damaging that I doubt you or many people at all would truly stake their livelihood and reputations on this issue. Which speaks to the insidious nature of the opposition's actions here, and the unscrupulous lack of principle in the argument. They take an easy position on the side of power, and fall back to sophistry and word games like "you don't want to sexualize children do you? stop sexualizing children" knowing that's not the counter-argument. Imagine how they would destroy your life IRL simply for having an opinion.
