Don't work for these companies, I realise yes food on the table and all that. However I would rather initially work for less or fuck all as an indie dev than deal with any of that crap only to be out on the street anyway because the people in these companies are actual retards that are making you do all the work with fuck all recognition for it because they're unprofessional scumbags on top of it.

I get so mad about this guys because I once aspired to work at games companies when I was younger, this shit goes all the way down to the university level. The utter incompetence and brainwashing in the games industry is real. I'm also betting that the real reason behind long term projects is going to be them deliberately faking their hours so they can get that government and investor money.
