That's fucking baffling because the steam back end is horrible compared to Itch they shouldn't have any trouble with it being Itch unless they're lazy and the person answering has nothing to do with the dev work. Two good things about itch you aren't having to pay money upfront just to upload and the upload process itself is name and upload your project.

Edit: Meanwhile on steam you have to click through a million tabs and put in tons of arbitrary 'required' information which Valve doesn't bother checking anyway.
