Socialists are very clear about one thing: ending Capitalism, which means private property ownership. That is their end goal, regardless of anything else. Marxism is simply different methods of attacking and over loading capitalist institutions to create the environment for revolution. Queer theory type marxists focus on attacking the gender binary because it upholds the nuclear family, which is an institution of Capitalism to them. They believe the nuclear family breeds more capitalists and they cannot get a communist utopia until the family unit as we know it is destroyed and replaced with "communal" child raising.
