There is a simple explanation for why these cases are going on.

The professional class is willing to stretch any law, manufacture criminal charges out of thin air, and lie about everything all up and down the line, all just to keep Trump off the ballot. This is an existential thing for them. They have so convinced themselves that the threat to their moral virtue is so great, that Trump is so evil, that they need to do whatever it takes to keep him from running.

The hard left has driven themselves into such a state of panic I fully expect someone to make a serious try to assassinate him, probably more than once.

Remember that it was late May of 2020 that saw the start of the Floyd riots, and I fully expect something like that to happen again. I already have a pretty good idea of what will kick it off: Some cop, somewhere in the country, will be filmed trying to deal with one of these Hamas demonstrators, and it will be blown up into another racial incident.
