The vast majority of low-effort indie games that seem like they're trying to emulate or recapture iconic retro favorites? Decent chance there's some cons00ming leftists at the helm, with at least a few trannies. They can be the worst of nostalgia whores and have little creativity whatsoever. They also lack much in the way of technical competence either, and it shows.

But I wouldn't pave over indie productions as a whole because of that. Or because of the shovelware. And it's worth noting that there is absolutely going to be a larger sum of shitty games coming out on a regular basis, just as a matter of probability. Good games take a decent amount of time, even more-so with small teams, and can easily get overshadowed by all the garbage.
