• the newfound freedom of slaving away in a job you don't like when you could be home with your family

• a worldview where you live in fear of oppression, assault, and rape from the evil patriarchy.

Edit: had an edit but it didn't actually go thru, mobile posting so ill just say We threw the baby out with the bathwater when we Year Zero'd the traditions and things that we're finding actually had a role in preventing the misery and social ills we see today. Our forebears weren't dumb and just because something is a tradition doesn't automatically make it backwards and awful.

I hope we as a society realize that before it really is too late

I think it's great people have choices/"choices", but we really threw the baby out with the bathwater when we thought we knew better than our forebears - sometimes their teachings actually have some truth to them, and sometimes they actually help a society keep stable because they already went their and did that with all the junk qe're going through today.
