Movies, TV, and sports, diversions that once were a comfort to working class men and women, have been co-opted by leftist political causes, making a day at the ballpark or a Saturday night movie at home or at the theater obnoxious. The badgering never stops!
On top of that, the working man has been priced out of ballgames, thanks to the stratospheric salaries demanded by players' agents and the resulting extortionist prices for tickets and concessions.
For the price of a case of shitty light beer, at the ballpark you can have one, maybe two pints of the same. For the price of two packs of hot-dogs, buns, and all the condiments you can get one cold, stale hot dog with nasty counter condiments.
But if you are well-to-do, you are accommodated with gourmet concessions, even restaurants where you can suck up your chardonnay and quiche while watching the game on the TV over the bar (or not) while the contest takes place on the field.
P.S.
Don't get me started on the goddamned "pitch clock" and the prospect of replacing home-plate umpires with cameras.
