I love how they always preface what they're going to say with something that absolves them of anything else they say:

"I don't condone Audrey Hale's action, though..."

Just stop right there. You basically do. You just know you can't get away with saying it outright, so you toss this little clause in there, that you can point to later when someone calls you out, and go, "No! Look! I said that, so it means I'm reasonable, and not actually a piece of shit! Since I put that there, you absolutely can't call me out! Ha! I win!"

It's just like the left on gun control matters... "Look, I don't want to outright ban all guns, but...". Yes, you do. If you thought you could get away with it right now, you'd straight up do it in a heartbeat. You know that you can't, however, so (just like the asshole above) you couch your words in this way that is supposed to make you look reasonable, attempt to do it a piece at a time, but to anyone that's not totally fucking stupid, it's obvious what you actually want.
