Unlike Iraq or Afghanistan, the US Government believes that there's much more at stake to just sue for peace.

Further, peace in it's current form is a nonstarter for the US. At this point it seems nothing short of all contested regions + Crimea + Putin removed would placate the US. Even if we returned everything to 2019, I'm sure the US wouldn't be satisfied.
