See, there is absolutely a debate that could be had about this. Have technological advancement, scientific advancements, etc rendered systems that had worked in the past as something that might not work now? Its certainly something worth discussing; we shouldn't assume the answer is no.

I guarantee this statement has much more to do with whatever very limited-in-scope definition you are attributing to the term "trad larping" than it has to do with the notion that humans didn't exist within more traditional frameworks throughout most of history.
