They didn't blame it on the Germans (not in most cases), they just pretended it simply never happened after they replaced sticks with parrots and abandoned the Russification and allowed a Poland to exist afte the special military operation Barbarossa changed anything. No one could talk about it, including the survivors. This later changed gradually beginning in 1953, at least in the sense it was less and less illegal to talk about it privately.
