The various tradcon scandals did severe damage to the right that right wing populism and the libertarian right is still likely recovering from, as it allowed the then unrecognized regressive left to gain too much influence by riding on the coattails of the libertarian left and thus allowed them characterize right wingers as being all tradcons while also conflating them all with neo-nazi's/white supremacists.
