Literally, thats the only derermining rule Americans have now for whether a moral value is good or bad. "Does this make my life more pleasurable or less." They've lost the actual idea of morality beyond that.

As a result we can expect issues like abortion and drug legalizatiom to press ahead full steam, regardless of whether its good or bad, regardless of population demographics, regardless of which party is in control, or anything else. Because the new American virtue of "good feelings are god" is universal and it's pretty much the only "American value" we're actually successfully converting our immigrants to.

Kind of a funny thing about this is, with people so obsessed with hedonism, you might expect that theyd be eating good food and having lots of sex and enjoying life. But the weird thing is, they arent.

Zoomers arent having careless sex. They have less sex than any generation in history. And they arent eating good food, theyre eating almost all carbs and grains.

They brag about themselves, their new-age journey of liberation and self indulgence, and put down those old stodgy religious types. But then theyre the most shut-in and slavish generation ever. The hippies would be embarrassed for them.

Their brains are wired on hedonism but they live like medieval peasants. Its not their choice; theyre just a bunch of stupid fat fucks eating ramen and butter and then rolling around on top of each other, failing to get an erection because of all the alcohol and 'beetus.

They do fucktons of drugs though, so thats one way their obsession with hedonism is carried through into real life.
