Critical Race Theory's "lens" for examining racism is pathetically simplistic and shallow.

It says that disparities in outcomes between different races are explained by one thing, and one thing only: systemic racism.

Not culture. Not parenting. Not economic status. Not environment. Not talent.

Any disparity is proof of systemic racism. QED.

You might think this univariate analysis seems like a bad way to go about solving anything, let alone complex social problems, and you'd be right.

But you need to understand that the goal isn't actually to fix disparity, the goal is to achieve power.

Any institution that has racial disparity is systemically racist, and the only way to fix systemic racism is to bring in a bunch of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion commissars to enforce equity. If there is still disparity (and there always is) that is proof that there needs to be more and more DEI measures, until the DEI department effectively controls the institution, hiring only Woke believers and purging all wrong thinkers, until the institution has been converted from whatever its original purpose was, to one of spreading more Wokeness. Just like a virus.

Any time you hear anybody whining about "systemic racism," it's a power play. They want to take over the institution.
